Slipping when exiting a tunnel

At the tunnel exit you notice that the road ahead is frozen, and brake rapidly. The car slips into the opposite lane and hits an oncoming car.

2 What did you do wrong?

• You steered and braked very rapidly on the frozen road.
• You were too optimistic about the road conditions in winter.
• You did not pay attention to the information about the road.

3 How to avoid accidents

• Recognize that the exit of the tunnel will freeze very easily.
• Be careful even during the day.
• Do not accelerate.
